Blue Cross and Blue Shield provides a number of health care benefit solutions throughout the USA. Depending on your state, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) provides various HMO (health maintenance organization), PPO (negotiated network) plans, PPO plans with an attached Health Savings Account (HSA), and Indemnity plans (non-network coverage). These plans (with regional changes) may be available on either a group basis for employers to offer as benefit plans or available as individual or family plans or, in some states, as both group and individual plans.
